Wich version of the Sun Cobalt do you have ?!? Remember Raq 3i supports ONLY ASL 2.xxx not higher. (In ASL 3.xxx and higher file system changed and is not supported by BIOS) In this case you should buy a new 'normal' PC box.
Which environment do you use ?!? Home or business ??
How 'big' (complicated) is your configuration ?? Could you make a printout and re-enter them in ASL 4 ??
I have a Cobalt RAQ 4 BOX. It is posible to migrate with the same box?. If not, I'll migrate to a new PC BOX. And yes, my configuration it's complex.. My enviroment is business.
look arount in the Announcements section of the board (around August 2002), there you can find threads for migrating from 2.0x to 3.2x and also from 3.2x to 4.0x
While your migration you can loose your log files because of system changes. Some guys in the forum told that they made a backup of them and restored after migration. It worked for them but is NOT officially supported by Astaro !
