Boot installation from floppy?

Is there any way to boot installation from a floppy? (Like smoothwall etc. does if you want to..) My computer cant boot from CD for some reason (I have checked BIOS settings multiple times and they looks correct...)

    Is your CD ROM set as Master ?
    I have found on some older systems only setting the CDROM as master will allow it to boot.  (Dont ask me why)....

    I think there was a thread on floppy booting ASL at one stage, search the forums, I'd suggest searching back 6 months.
