lcd display (pyramid case) with v4

We had the same problem - after talking to Astaro Support we get the following solution.
Login as root and do the following:

# ln -s /usr/local/LCD/pyramid.conf /etc/hw.conf
# /sbin/init.d/restart start

PROBLEM: you will loose your console screen, cause all input and output will now be done by the LCD-display.
To get back control to console you may enter the menu ADMIN->Turn LCD off
To give back control to LCD-display just enter
# /sbin/init.d/lcd start

it doesn't work on my box (v4.009).
in my /etc/rc.d/lcd (v1.10.2.4) it was line 39.

any idea?

have a look a look at the date of my post and check the Up2Date announcements -
you will see that there were changes regarding the Pyramid LCD issue meanwhile.

i have had a look at the date. but my pyramid lcd doesn't work with 4.008 and 4.009. the lcd is ok - i have tested it again with 3.2. 
i know that it should work since 4.008, but not on my box. after the upgrade to 4.0 the lcd shows permanently 'system is going down for reboot!'.
what's wrong?

after an upgrade to 4.00 and all others to 4.09 the Display on all our pyramid boxes only shows a black and a clear line its also after the changes listed above.

jepp. i agree with that. just had to reinstall my box. used latest image and did all updates - lcd on pyramid case remains dark...  

the script is fixed but there is no autodetection for the display itself.
To activate it you'd have to login as root to set the appropriate link.

- 'cd /etc'
- 'ln -s /usr/local/LCD/pyramid.conf hw.conf'

of course without the ticks.
