Checksums did NOT match

I'm having trouble installing ASL.  Downloaded via USA site and burned ISO using Adaptec EasyCD v4 on Windows 2000.  md5 checksums confirmed to be correct.  Installing on a PC that meets or exceeds hardware requirements.

Install takes me up to step 8, then fails checksums.

ALT+F3 shows:

Checking md5 sums
astaro_inst.dat: OK
oss_inst.dat: FAILED
/bin/md5sum: WARNING: 1 of 2 computed checksums did NOT match
md5sum chain returned 256.

I'm trying a second CD drive, but still no joy.  Any help would be most appreciated.

    Hi,
    maybe something went wrong during the burn process? Try another CD, lower writing speed ... and testing a second cd rom for the installation is also a good idea.
    Just for the sake of it: which Version did you download?

    I'm trying to instal ASL 4.0 and I'm having similar prblem on Step 8. 
      This is my hardware: 

      AMD Duron 700 w/ 200 mhz FSB, 256 MB SDRAM 133,
      trident 1MB video card, 2 NICs Realtek 8139D using
      IRQs 9 and 10, 4.1 GB HD, Samsung CDROM 32x, 
      and a GA-7IXE4 MotherBoard.

    Hardware seems to be detected just fine during the check.

    This is the result I get durring the install:

    I have tried a different CD Drive and i have burnt 4 images in NERO ver-5.5.10.0, but it still doesn't get passed step 8.
    I have burned the 4 discs at 40x, 24x, 8x, and 4x. My drive won't burn at 1x or i would have tried that setting as well. 

    I have looked at the HCL but didn't find anything that seemed incompatable with ASL.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Try some different RAM.  Maybe a diffrent IDE cable.  Also If you have access to VMware you might want to try installing ASL as a guest OS using the ISO images that you downloaded to see if they work.  Also, can you get any other OS to install on the hardware?

    It doesn't appear that this is hardware related.  I'm having the same issue on my box, and the hardware has been tested and proven to be fine with everything else.

    Can someone verify the files??    I've tried burning various discs at various speeds, all to no avail, it locks up on step 8.

    If I don't hear back tomorrow morning I'll try using a file from another server.

    This is usually caused by:

    1) Bad burn/bad media/burning too fast.
    2) Bad CDROM drive in the firewall box.

    And of course, bad software image.

    Hi,
    when i read all carefully it seems to me that until now no AMD Processor is supported.
    castle (a few posts above this one) had described his hardware as an AMD Duron.
