3c90x TX after Install

Hiya, I'm trying to install a 3c905 TX after install, I'm swapping with my current clark connect firewall and the 3com card goes to the DSL link.  Don't ask me why, but the DSL only seems to like this (due to mac address I think) 3c905, I had to configure it originally on a Windoze box then install into Clark firewall to get DSL working.

So, I'm trying to put into my Astaro 3.2, but it won't detect it [:(]lar?

    you are searching for the module  3c59x.o . It is included on every ASL.

    I would of hoped so, but tell me, do I need to have this card installed during install, as their seems to be no module of that installed I'll check the CD and see I can take from there,  there is 3c59x on my system but I can't get it to show up in webmin module

    Hi there,
    Ahhh, we have a fundamental misunderstanding :-)
    Since you were speaking of modules, I assumed you would know how to deal with that on the console. But OK, here's detailed info:
    If you install a card after installation, the webadmin has no information about it. So you have two choices - a re-installation or tweaking on the console.
    On the console, you have to: 
    -add an entry for your card in /etc/modules.conf
    -modprobe your module
    -run /usr/local/bin/setitfhw.pl
    and your webadmin should know of your new card.

    Excellent, next time I get a chance to take the existing firewall down, I'll throw the card in and give that a go.  That was indeed my problem.  Also, when I manually loaded the module I was having trouble, I've rebuilt the cable and it works, I really must learn not to trust purchased cables.
