hello
i have a strange problem. i have astaro 4 now for several weeks running (i had version 2 long time bevore without problems) and from time to time it seems as if a network cards "freezes". i can't access the firewall anymore, even ping does not work anymore. e.g. it is impossible to copy large amounts (~1gb) from my lan to the DMZ. the connection will freeze bevore. here is the logentry of the firewall at that moment:
May 2 00:29:49 (none) kernel: eth1: Abnormal interrupt, status 00000008.
May 2 00:30:50 (none) kernel: eth1: Transmit timeout, status 0d 0000 media 00.
May 2 00:30:50 (none) kernel: eth1: Tx queue start entry 907365 dirty entry 907361, full.
May 2 00:30:50 (none) kernel: eth1: Tx descriptor 0 is 4008203e.
May 2 00:30:50 (none) kernel: eth1: Tx descriptor 1 is 0008203c. (queue head)
May 2 00:30:50 (none) kernel: eth1: Tx descriptor 2 is 0008203c.
May 2 00:30:50 (none) kernel: eth1: Tx descriptor 3 is 10082156.
May 2 00:30:50 (none) kernel: eth1: MII #32 registers are: 1000 782d 0000 0000 01e1 40a1 0001 0000.
i don't know if this helps. this is the info of the interface:
Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+
base=e0000000 irq=10 mac=00:4F:4E:0C:CC:B3 type=eth io=b400
if i reboot the firewall, everything works fine again. until the next freeze...
does anybody know what this could be?
thanks
harald
