Up2dating your way to 4

Is this possible yet? If so, could anybody lay out the preferred procedure?

    Seems the best way to update to v4 is to take a backup of the config, install from scratch and then restore the config. No help if you're working remotely I suppose, but it seems to be the only way at present.
