ASL4: Mounting problem based on systemhardware?

works with an intel-system-hw, doesn't with an asus.
getting this error message with asus during booting up and system halts:

VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) readonly
Trying to move old root to /initrd ... failed
Unmounting old root

any idea?

cheers, achim.

  • i booted from the same drive i installed with, no connection changes.
i think the proiblem was the Pentium-I, which is not supported anymore with V4!

if this is the problem, this is a little bit consusing because the last error messages point (as it looked to me) to 'mounting-drive'-problems.

    cheers, achim.
