Unable to boot from the burned astaro CD

Hello,

the burned image of the astaro image file will not boot. I have try three different atapi cd-rom drives at 2 different  computer. Allways the same result, not boot possible. The computer don´t found a boot track on the CD.

I have try an other bootable cd, no problem it runs.
I have try an other burn software, no positiv results.
I have download the image file again, without a proxy, also the same.

Has anybody a solution for me ?

two more checks:
- does it boot on another pc?
- is the CD accessible, when inserting it into another (working) PC? If yes, what do you see?

Hi Macel

OK, the CD doesn´t boot on an other PC.
The CD is accessible, i can read all data on the original PC an on an other PC.

Today i have make a other try, i load the image again and burn it with an other PC/CD Writer the same result.

I have check the CD, the CD info tell me that the CD is bootable but no PC boot with this CD.

Which software are you using to burn the iso image?

NERO 5.5, i use the burn instructions, all options like this instructions.

option 1:
whats the bootsequence of your bios.
cdrom has to be the first boot if you want to boot from cd.
if you already did that maybe you can consider to update your motherboards bios. some motherboards have problems with booting from cd.

option 2:

in nero you can go to file burn image and browse to your astaro image. thats what i do when i want to burn this file. it works for me

Hi !

A friend give me an other idea, the ISO file has error. Now i seach the MD5 checkum for the ISO file.

Can someone send me the MD5 Checksum of the ISO file.

Hi BombJack,

watch out here , or have a look at the FTP-directory you get the .iso from.
There you can find a file with teh MD5-sum inside.
