How about PCI Wireless Cards???

Has anyone got any info about whether ASL can handle a PCI wireless card instead of PCMCIA with adaptor? Seems these would be more logical 'cause they have a connector for an external antenna. . .at least they'd be more logical for *MY* hoped-for application, which is to do a long-distance point-to-point with a directional antenna! Clues, anyone?

Assuming it has the Prism chipset on the WLAN card itself, it should work. I can't imagine any other type of PC Wireless adapter since 90% of them are just PCI PCMCIA adapters with their PCMCIA WLAN counterpart installed.

This is pure speculation, however.

I have a Linksys PCMCIA card in a DLINK PCI adapter.
Search these forums for more info.

If you have a decent AP, that would be preferable.
