Not as far as I know. In the old days you could do this, (I'm talking 80's hardware) but not anymore. You would need a RAID controller on the HCL list. Have you tried the 2100S yet ?
is the config of your Controller the Factory Deault?
If yes, the adaptec should show you all disks, because the default is JBOD.
If no, did you have an Raid-Set configured ?
If you have an Raid-Set configured, it the controller shoud show you at minimum one LUN as a usable drive for the OS. So the Installation should work, maybe I can test it on one of our test mashines which has an Adaptec 2100s as an Raid controller build in.
If more peeps complain maybe they will included common raid controllers support in the builds. I had a nice Compaq dl380 g3 i was going to use but it didn't like the 5si controller. Same type of messages - no disk or partitions found.
