I am a home user doing a new install of ASL 4.0 on a Supermicro MB with an onboard dual-gigabit ethernet adapter (Intel 82540 EM). The adapter is detected properly by ASL, and the two ethernet adapters are recognized as eth0 and eth1, with different interrupts. The ASL install proceeds smoothly, setting up eth0 as the internal interface. However, when I use Webadmin to try to add eth1 as the external interface, ASL refuses to add eth1 as an interface at all, even though it is present in the Webadmin hardware table.
Is this problem simply explained by the fact that I do not yet have a Power User licence (I have applied), and ASL is refusing to add a Gigabit adapter in an "unlicensed" version? If not, has anyone seen this behavior?
