Why would you like to turn logging off? FW is there to protect your network and logging is a part of protection, because this is the only way you can find yout what was going through your FW in case of break in. Bye the way, FW should work 24/7 and there is no reason to reast. And also turning disks on and off shortens life-time of disks.
