no mac address on nic?

I've just installed astaro and I'm having problems with a 3 card setup.
1 nic is onboad and the other two are pci cards, they are both exactually the same make and model, they have both been recognised by astaro and all the settings (irq, dma, are both different), but only one ever comes up.
(1 pci and the onboard both work fine)

I have just noticed, that eth2 has no mac address, the setting is empy:

As this is the one that will not come up, could the card be shot?

    Is eth2 nic yours onboard nic or not?If eth2 is your´s onboard nic maybe ASL is have no drivers for it.Or your´s eth2 nic card is broken try the eth2 nic in other machine if it´s not yuor onbord nic.
