eth1's status always DOWN.

(In 192.168.2.0 sub net,I want to visit internet via ASL use IP MASQ.)
I have installed ASL 3.2 in my PC.
My PC have been installed two NIC,(eth0,eth1).
eth0(IP=192.168.2.100)
eth1(Get IP from DHCP,DHCP Server's IP=192.168.1.1)
I can mange ASL from 192.168.1.188 and I use 
WebAdmin to config the eth1,but eth1's status 
always down.

    I have the exact same problem. My ASL is connected to hub which is plugged in cable modem with 2 ip-adresses from isp available (DHCP).

    I have 3 NIC's:

    eth0 is my internal LAN (192.168.1.x/255.255.255.0, gateway=none)

    I use menu: Network-Interfaces and here I set a new interface: name=eth1 type=Standard Ethernet Interface and also make sure to select one of the free NIC's. In IP-settings, I choose to have all assigned by DHCP (since this is to be the interface to connect with isp). I also tried to set these parameters as fixed with settings that I find in ipconfig (Windows2000) when connected 
    directly to the cablemodem. Swapped NIC's and reinstalled all over...

    In all cases, the interfacestatus remains DOWN!

    Tried reinstalling ?

    I had Astaro RED interface plugged into a static IP direct connect status, then I switched to ADSL and made it a PPPoE type connection and it showed up as Down all the time.  Reinstalled and it came up OK.
