How to install new nic

I would like to add another NIC to my ASL box and I am not sure how to do it. also I would like this NIC to be a DMZ. If my new NIC is a DMZ do I need to use SNAT? Any help would be great.

install the NIC in the box, Astaro will not recognize it, you will need to edit the file /etc/modules.conf What you might need for your DMZ is DNAT not SNAT.

Where can I find the correct configuration for the card I'm using? And where is DMZ set up at?

Just a little confused but not too bad [:(]

Wouldn't be bad if you could post the type of your
network card - maybe we are able to tell you the
correct driver and settings.

If you don't know the exact card or is a mystery clone you can install it and then from the command line of the console you do "cat /proc/pci" and you should see the card listed and described.

One you add the appropriate line to /etc/modules.conf like maybe:
eth2 eepro100

You can then configure normally. You should grab the manuals and read them completly to understand the basics of DMZ.

Thanx everyone for the help. I ended saving a backup of my configuration and then reinstalling ASTARO and then imported my backup and the new nic was there and not erased by the import. I dont know if it is the best way but it worked.
