Potential SQUID cache issue?

I am experiencing strage SQUID behaviors in ASL 3.209.

When I attempt to get to a website, say www.anywhere.foo, and also have a my ASL console open, any failuire in the one browser window causes a problem in the other.

For example, a 404 going to www.anywhere.foo causes a 404 (SAME 404 error, showing the URL from anywhere.foo) in the ASL window...

Anyone have any idea what is going on?  I am a total newbie on ASL, and apreciate any help you might be able to provide.

    let me see if I get this right, everythings is OK until you get a 404 in one browser window you get the 404 in any open browser window??? What OS/browser are you using, how is your proxy configured and is the proxy running OK besides this?

    Yeah, pretty strange, eh?

    Better explanation:

    Browser window #1 - Mozilla (Linux)

    using WebAdmin, with no problems.

    Browser window #2 - I get a 404 error on http://foo.bar.com/notapage.html

    when I flip to browser windown #1, and click on say "Packet Filter -> Rules", I get a 404 error from http://foo.bar.com/notapage.html.

    It happens even if I open the two pages in different browsers (Netscape and Mozilla, for example)

    Otherwise, SQUID seems to be working well...
