DHCP-Problems

Hi there,

I have some problems with the dhcp-client from astaro. It will not renew my (isp) ip-addres. I had to change nic's and normally my ip-addres changes when i have another mac-address. Only now i keep the same ip-address, which resolves to network problems. However if i use a redhat-7.3 dhcpcd i do get a new ip-address and everything works fine. But then astaro thinks the interface is down and the rules will not be set for that (external) interface.

Anybody any ideas ?
Does astaro save his config anywhere ?
I allready deleted the dhcpcd-eth1.* from /etc/dhcp/

My guess is when you change your NIC, you will have to delete, from the webadmin, it's previous configuration. Install the new NIC then reboot your system for it to see your new NIC. Then from the webadmin, you will have to redefine your new NIC and reconfigure network. You will then configure eth1 for DHCP and then reboot.

If you made a backup copy of your eth1 before deleting it, I'd suggest you restore and perform the above. If not, you may have to reinstall astaro.
