Telkom South Africa ADSL.

Is anyone using ASL with the above ISP ?

I'm having problems getting ASL to talk to the ADSL modem (Alcatel Speed Touch Home model).

I've setup for a PPPoE type connect in ASL but interface just shows down.
Waited a few hours too...

I reinstalled [:)]

The prior install was hooked to an ethernet convertor to a radio link. Plugged in ADSL modem instead and it just would not pick it up.(Static IP).

Reinstalled Astaro and the ADSL came up right away. (PPPoE).
