question about eht0 loosing its ip

i get this quite frequent

No ip-adress on eth0

and the whole network looses connection to the firewall and drops of the internet

after a few mins it gets back its ip under 192.168.0.1 

anyone ever experienced such a behavior ?

im running astaro in the newest version i patched it completely

its a pentium 300 with 387mb ram
and a 4,5gb scsi hdd

i also tried it on a athlon 1,2ghz with 1gb ram and 60gh ide hdd

both came up with that error,

any chance to prevent that from happening ?

    prime,

    if it happens again and again that indicates a looping
    middleware - may happen if you have assigned QoS
    settings to an DSL interface.

    it still happens even with QoS completely removed from any device

    it keeps on working for an hour or so
    then i get cut off the net and/or also loose eth0 (the nic that points to my lan) connect also
    after 2-10mins the ip (on eth0) is active again and once i login to the webadmin and click myself into network devices the ppp0 (1&1 adsl) goes online again, after that i need to go into proxys also so they work (http&socks) is there any way for me to trace this error or can i basically just forget it, i cannot live with a restarting middle ware every hour or so as my network clients will loose conn causing a lot of trouble
