Hi !
We tryed the new Astaro Security Linux in our Network because, we are looking for a new Firewall. We encountered the following small Problem:
We have three Class C Subnets
192.168.7.x - Switches
192.168.8.x - Server, Workstations
192.168.9.x - Access/Time Controll Server
We configured the Firewall with an 8.x Adress and an Class C Subnetmask.
The Problem is: We have a Win NT 4.0 Server with one NIC which has two IP Adresses 8.x and 9.x . The Server Reads Data from the Access/Time Server in 9.x Network. We connect with Clients from the 8.x Network to the Database of the Server. If the ASL is in the Network, the Server always lost his connection to the Access/Time Server(who locks up) in the 9.x Network. We tried the ASL with a Class B Subnet Mask with no success. Enyone ever encountered such a Problem, or has any suggestions ?

PS.:With our "old" Borderware Firewall everything works great :-/
