Dell Poweredge 350

Muahhahaha
Has anyone tried astaro 3.2 on a dell poweredge 350?

Installation works well until step 8....
i have tried a different cd and another hdd as well.... and all i get is..validating checksums

then the installation just aborts..
the warning lamp on the server starts to..

I also tried the astaro cd on another no name pc
no problem...

is astaro using some other drives than most linux dists?

    Hi Muahhahaha,
    this Problem might be related to your CD Rom Drive. It is a known Issue with fast CD Rom Drives that the validation of the checksums may fail. If you have the hardware, try another CD Rom Drive; generally, slower is better.

    It worked on our PE 350.

    Try a different brand of CDR Media or try burning at a slower speed.
    If that doesn't help, maybe ask Dell for a new drive.
