If you have success using a NIC on your system that isn't on the Hardware list I suggest you email Astaro and let them know so it can be added to the "User tested OK" section of the HCL.
I have two NETGEAR FA310TX cards in my ASL box, and they've worked perfectly from the beginning. They do not, however, identify as Netgear; the ASL interface lists them as Lite-On LNE100TX.
I figured, what with successful operation, I wasn't gonna argue with the name. . . [;)]
No, the name doesn't ring a bell. . .about the only person I know in Germany (at least who I know is there) is my cousin Rebecca Martin who is an opera singer (and a fairly good one, has some headlining roles) in Munich.
Feel free to drop an email if you wish to dwm at tractor-equip dot com.
I am sorry I thought you might be a person I met long ago in New Zealand. Never mind! Opera is cool, but unfortunately Munich is far away from Berlin, so maybe I will see her one day at a Berlin opera house! [;)] By the way .. what does "dwm" mean in your former posting?
catch you later...Martin

I've got another working NIC that is not listed in the HCL: Compaq NC3134 (Dualport). I have two of them in my ASL-Box for about 6 weeks now without having any problems (one port is used for DSL). Maybe Astaro should add it to the HCL.
