premature end of script headers (or why has index.pl died)

Hi all,
Recently my Astaro 3.029 web interface has died. I was accessing as normal just turning some rules on and off (as you do) and all of the sudden I got an Internal Server Error message. Now when i attempt to connect to the webadmin that's all i get. Thing worked fine since the up2date for 3.029 was run, so i doubt it is that. The firewall is working fine ... i just can't get to webadmin. 

I logged in at the command line and after running "aus" to be sure ther was no some mysterious update i needed (there isn't) went poking through the logs ... all i can find is in /var/log/httpd.error_log where is reports the accss from the client and states "premature end of script headers in index.pl".

Any thoughts on what i may have done to cause this? I rebooted but to no avail (first time in 90+ days ... cool!) ... am i gonna have to reload, or can i get index.pl for somwhere else to rplace my (presumably) broken one? A reload is no biggie, i'm just curious what broke here!

    also to add ... i ran index.pl from the command line and got a Segmentation Fault ... i searcjed the astaro boards and found a discussion on this from last year, but no resolution ...

    is it something to do with RAM?

    hmmm ... i'll keep looking!

    just a guess - are you using network or service
    groups containing again groups together with the
    QoS feature? If yes try to remove those groups.

    not that i am aware of ... at least not intentionally that is, as it has been left as default (ie i never touched that feature) ... i'm convinced this is hardware somehow ... so i changed the ram (no luck) and dusted the parts (no luck) then I reloaded the firewall from my backups (cool feature!) onto a new hdd ... all was good ... i then reloaded back onto the old hdd and restored again ... seems ok for now ... so i will wait an see ...

    Hi @ all
    I have the same Problem so i can't login on my Webadmin Page from  the ASL 3.209 I also think it is since the new Patch 3.210 so i must reboot the ASL Box and now i can Login to Webadmin for about 5 Minutes and then a have the Problem Again

    whats Wrong ??

    Roger - you are not alone.

    Excatly same problems here - 3.210 broke my WebAdmin after 5 minutes of uptime.

    please apply the update to 3.211, and tell us if the problem persists!

    hi all,
    i'm gonna try putting on 3.210 and 3.211 and see what happens ... since i had this original problem and did a restore all has been well ... i'm curious to see what 3.210 and 3.211 do ... could this be happening when we do updates cause of memory issues? maybe we are all using older boxes that can't handle the changes? i'm using a pentium II / 400 for my asl ... what about others with this problem?

    I began having this problem after allowing up2date run for the 3.211 and 3.212 versions. Now, although the FW is processing packets properly, even after reboot from the command line I cannot see the web interface any more. In the httpd log file I get a "premature end of script" for index.pl.

    I haven't done 3.212 yet but 3.210 and 3.211 seem ok on my machine. I'll try 3.212 and see what happens. I'm still thinking this is older hardware reacting to differences caused by the patches ... but i don't see why that would happen ...
