On my redhat box i needed to type :
"dhcpcd -h hostname"
I dont know if it works with your distro. The thing i want to know is where the config file is for eth1?? In the redhat distro i could edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 and add DHCP_HOSTNAME=CP123456-a to the config. Does anybody know were this is located?? If i do find it i will post it here.
