I have a pair of machines , one of them is what I was using for a fw, which is an ibm pentium classic 166 with a scsi2 hd and cdrom. I cant even get this gem to boot on it, the machine has 48 megs of ram. Well, i have tried to get it to boot on a 1ghz box that i was using for bsd, this box has standard ide hd and cdrom with 256 megs of ram. It boots but usually gives crc errors, or gets hung. I know the ram is good and I have tried it in other machines, it is good quality mem. I can boot ANY other os on it with 0 issues, windows 2k, windows xp, any version of redhat, mandrake, any flavor of bsd, just not this software. I threw the cd into my main pc and it boots just fine. Any ideas or is this thing just not compatible with certain boards?
