installation problems - hdc

Im trying to install ASL 2.016. (I am downloading 3.207, to install after).

If I try to install using the US-American Keyboard Layout, occurs a crazy error about hdc (CDROM). If I try to use other Keyboard Layout, the install continue normally, but it stop when need to enter a email, because I there is no @ (at) key working on my keyboard.

I use a P4 2G, 256Mb, HD 40Gb ide, CDROM LG 52x, 2 NICs RTL8139, MB Intel.

Anyone can help me?

  • Ricardo,
are you sure your Keyboard is ok??   [:S]
The keyboard layout has nothing to do with the system functionality, except for different characters being displayed.

Anyway, the character @ is equivalent to ALT-64.
So you may enter the @ by pressing and holding down ALT and typing 64 on the numeric pad - ok?!
