registration - cannot register

I got myself a license for home use, but when I try to register the program,I receive the error: "Error: Invalid license length".
The license I got is in 5 parts, but the program demands 2 more parts
what is a newbie like me to do?
this is starting to sound like a Microsoft problem, that is if the reply goes something like: "This is by design, U have to buy an upgrade for only 9.999$-"

    Hmmmm ...
    in my WebAdmin under Settings -> Licensing there is just one big textbox to write in a key.
    Which Version of ASL do you have installed?
    Maybe you just don't have the right version.

    And I really have no clue, what that has to do with microsoft tactics!?
