Problems with Booting

Hi,

i just finished my ASL Installation and rebooted for first try but all I get is an

L

then the whole system hangs  [:(] 

is that some LILO bug ?

the system is a 200mhz intel cpu
with 256megs ram
and a 8gb ide hdd attached to it.
3 nics are also inserted (1x Tulip , 1x RealTech , 1 x 3 Com)

    This happens as the disk format/file system used by ASL 3 is not compatible with the BIOS disk access mode "LBA".

    What you need to do is change the BIOS setting for the HD from "LBA" to "Normal", and it'll boot quite happily.

    If you're unsure how to do this, post the details of your motherboard, and I'll do a step-by-step.
