Install error on Pent pro 200 - loading spec packet fail!

I am trying to install 3.2 on an  old pent pro 200 - 128mb ram with 2 pci net cards and I get the following error:

ISOLINUX .... - Loading spec packet fail - trying to wing it ...
ISO linx. failed to locate CD rom device - boot failure

CD rom appears to be ok as it starts to install on another machine. The cd rom on the machine in question is also ok as I can boot a redhat 7.3 disk and it starts to install.
