Does anyone get any experience with NS Geode GX1 CPU, using CS5530A chipset? The one I am looking into is a 300Mhz model, would that be too slow if Astaro VPN is to be considered?
i've seen a box like this running, i would say it depends what you want to do, what bandwith, how many tunnels, how many users, proxy usage, surf protection, smtp relay... The box is slow during the configuration, the WebAdmin is really slow on that CPU, but one of the next versions should speed the WebAdmin up. The box will do it's job for may be 10 users, no heavy proxy usage or SMTP traffic and a bandwith of 2 MBit. Spend 128 MB at least.
