Real Player

Having little experience with firewalls can I easily configure ASL to allow real player or not??? Is there an idiots guide to basic concepts?? I am a somewhat overstreched and inexperienced  system admin in a school with 200 Pc,s and 700 users etc etc. Breif and not too technical replies appreciated.Thanks.SSD

    Just configure Realplayer to use HTTP instead of TCP/UDP, then point Realplayer at the web proxy. Its by far the easiest way to do it.

    Of course you can open up the ports for use if you really need to, look at 554 UDP/TCP and 7070 UDP/TCP

    Your other option is to configure Realplayer to use the Winsock proxy.
