DHCP client using 3.202 fails

I just updated to 3.202 and gave the DHCP client a try using my AMD K6-2 500MHz system.  Still does not work to set my eth1 parameters to DHCP.  I just reverted to static manual settings.  FWIW, the DHCP server in this case would be my D-Link DI-713P WAP.  It seems to function correctly as a DHCP server for a simple Win98 machine.  I did a full shutdown poweroff sequence on the asl box which should have caused a signal to go to the DLink box.

    Same here with a fresh 3.202 install on an ASUS TX97/K6-2 400 system, hooked to a shark fin cable modem, ISP dhcp server.

    Put the HD with 3.2 and Vipwolf's solution back in for now.  It still works.

    7/10/02:

    Put the 3.202 HD back in and replaced the 3.202 dhcpcd with the Mandrake 8.2 dhcpcd; dhcpc now works with no further mods.  Looks like Astaro's dhcpcd still doesn't like i586's.

    I have the same problem too.
    on my new astaro box, i could get an Ip-adress from my provider (The provider is iesy, and use a cabel modem).
    My system is an Siemen Senic Pro C5 with an Pentium 200 MMx and 64 Mb-Ram, 3 GB HDD and two 3c900.
    eth0 have a static adress (192.168.1.1) and eth1 should use dhcp. but this dosn´t work.

    Hello,

    I had the same problem with a PII 400 Mhz on a P2B Asus motherboard with 3.2. I used then  3.202... and wait on my cable ISP for a real renew (4 hours)... all is OK now! Works fine now.

    You should perhaps wait for the renew ?
