Install Problems

Did you allow from BIOS setting to boot from 
Cd-rom drive?

Yes, it will boot with any other CD eg. RedHat, Windows, etc.  

Looking at the filesystem on the Astaro CD, doesn't look like it is bootable.

Did you burn the Cd as Astaro says on docs.astaro.org in burn How-to?

I have same problem. I can't boot and install Astaro 3.2 on my computer. I try everything. (Various CDRoms, new BIOS etc.)      
Astaro 2.0 I can install on this computer without problems. 
I have only pentium I, maybe it is cause of this problem.

Have you tried the boot from another computer?
Just to see if the cd boot ok...

Yes, I tried boot CD from another computer (with same CD-ROM), it worked ok.

ive got the same problem when installing. boot from the cd fails with an error message saying that the boot failed. couldnt find cdrom device.
any suggestions? maybe the hardware to old?

Is rewritable Cd or normal?
Because some old Cd-rom reader don't support
RW cd.

Its a standard cdr from JVC, 80min 700mb

try to format(low-level) plus f-disk your hard-disk and than install ASL.
hope this resolve your problem.
P.S.:could you post your hardware configuration
(microprocessor etc.etc...).

Its a PI 133MHz, 4x speed Mitsumi CD-ROM (FXsomething), 64MB RAM, 3 RTL-8139 NICs, 4.5gb Fujitsu HDD
