NIC DecCHIP 21142/43

I have installed a ASL 3.2 on machine with a nic ZNYX ZX346Q 4 Ports. During installation the ASL recognize 4 NICs as DecCHIP 21142/43 - Digital equipment corporation. But it doesn't work, no ping and no access. I put another nic 3com and accessed the webAdmin, configured the NIC DecCHIP 21142/43, but it didn't work any way.

Any idea to solve this problem?

    I'm a similar card the: DFE570TX Quad Channel Server card, that uses 4 Digital 21143 chips (Tulip drivers)

    I plugged a laptop in with a crossover cable, manually set the IP to 192.168.2.99, GW: 192.168.2.100 then opened a command prompt and typed:

    ping -t 192.168.2.100

    Then swapped the cable over on the network ports till I found one that replied.

    It seemed I tried the same ports over and over again and none worked and I was going to agree with your post, then I thought I would try one more time and it worked! (about 10 minutes after starting the testing)

    So it could be it takes a while for the interfaces to come up after a clean install. But I did get it to work (PCI slot 2)
