No ip on eth0 ?

Hi there. 
After booting Astaro 3.2, 
i first see the line : 
 "192.168.0.3 (which is the astaro box)
  login:"
after a while it changes to 
 "No IP on eth0"
then it takes a while and 
 "192.168.0.3" 
appears again.
What does that mean ?
Can i do something against it, or is this normal?
It takes some time before i can use it, because he always does this strange thing of setting the IP, forgetting it and setting it again.
Any ideas ?

    After installing ASL 3.2 for 2nd time (to report bugs related to aDSL pppOe to Daniel Stutz) its does the same to me... it keeps getting no-ip for eth-0... i waited for 5 mins o so to see if the interface ca get an IP, but nothing... i logged in manually as root , make a shutdown -r, and after that , when it restart again, no problem at all... strange!!!

    Hmmm.. i dont know if thats the problem...
    My ASL is not a state-of-the-art machine, but is not too bad either:
    Pentium2@300Mhz (boxed slot1)/160 Mb RAM

    When i see CPU utilization en the ASL, it dont rise above 27%, and RAM utilization dont go above 120Mb, SWAP its at 0%, so i dont think its an hardware issue for me, at least.

    As I heard, it's a normal behaviour because the middleware has to reinitialize the interfaces...

    I'm having the same problem as Argento.

    Can't do a thing until I do a shutdown now -r...  
    It's quite the show stopper for remote sites..  (My box at home is a remote site while I'm at work  [;)]th 2 Realtek 8129's...

    I'm getting the same issue with:
    Dual P Pro 200
    96MB RAM

    Some reboots, no IP on eth0
    reboot again and it's ok, (or sometimes not)
    keep rebooting till it works....
    Bah.

    Just a few more things noted:

    After a cold boot, I *ALWAYS* get the no ip-address on eth0 message.  Log in as root, shutdown now -r... comes back up ALWAYS works the second time.. Now for the kicker.. if I do shutdown now -r AGAIN, I get the no ip-address on eth0 message.  Installed Astaro 3.2 on an old celeron 533 box, and the same thing happened again.  Seems like a bug to me.

    Same problem as above for me ... and on top of this I've got a DSL connection and the ASL disconnect not long after the first connection and then reconnects and disconnects again and again and again.  [:(] 
    So I've wipe out the 3.2 and went back to a "beta" 3.05 ... and everything works fine (so obviously it's not a hardware problem). I went through the up2date process up to 3.201 to see if it works ... and guess what it's working exactly the way it should be !!

    Humm.. quite odd indeed.

    I'm about to move our office router over to Astaro.. we've got an ancient Intel router right now.. which really does suck...  But not being able to reliably remote boot the router for fear of it not comming back up is a bit of a bummer.  Not that I could remotely boot the Intel anyway  [:)] 

    I will try what you've suggested Bertrand, and post my results here.

    Hi all,

    "No IP on eth0" AND >90% CPU load is a bug which will not be fixed in the security update 3.201.
    You can workaround it by not using the static network definitions "INTERFACENAME_Interface__" and "INTERFACENAME_Network__".

    "No IP on eth0" on tty0 is GENERALLY not a bug!

    "No IP on eth0" after boot,
    then "YOUR_IP"
    then "No IP on eth0"
    then "YOUR_IP" again is not nice, but also not a bug.

    explanation about the >99% CPU issue:

    This behavior will not be fixed by the 3.201 update because the 3.201 update is pure security update.

    Explanation of the "No IP on eth0" issue:
    This is a feature.
