10101010 after LiLo install

After completing the installation of ASL with the CDrom as the Master and the HDD as Slave I get some type of error when trying to reboot. Has anyone seen the following problem and corrected it:

L01010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010101010 ad infinitum

I have reinstalled twice thinking that the Lilo boot record was damaged. I even Fdisk'd the boot partition. All to no avail.

What do you think the problem is?

Welcome to Astaro, to fix this go into your bios and look at your hard drive configuration, it should have your hard drive listed as normal, not LBA or Auto. Try that.

i had this problem when my hdd was set as primary slave instead of primary master...
