Install error

evening guys,
im coming across this hard drive error and am having trouble resolving it.  i've been running linux for about 8 years so i know the OS but this is odd.

hdd: command error
{Drive Seek Complete}

- i get this right after i select english as my install language.  i've tried this while booting from cd and from floppy.  and i've also tried this on 3 different machines.  this is the second copy i've burned as well..  im completly stumped.   
anyone out there come across this before..  please gimme some input.
