Error Installing

I keep getting the error at step 4 of the installation where it says that there was no hard drive detected. I spent hours last night trying different things and reading other messages here in the bulletin board. I have run fdisk at the bash shell and deleted all partitions and re-created one main partition that is about 6 gig. Can someone help me figure out how to get this software installed. I only hope that the software is better than the installation. The message that I'm getting about try installing the software on a compatible system doesn't quite work for me. This system meets all the requirements that are stated on this site and in the install manual.

Please help. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What are your machine specs ?

I've always found the install very easy.
Boot from the CD and just run through the defaults.

If you are still having disk problems I suggest you run DOS FDISK and delete any and all partitions and then exit. Reboot and boot your Astaro boot CD.

Re partition removal: More than once, I have had to fill a hard drive with zeros to get rid of the trash or whatever it is that remains after partition removal, in order to get Astaro to install. have found that WD drives which at some time had a linux distribution installed usually have to be zero filled. Astaro seems to be very picky about something in this regard.

Ditto on Astaro being simple to install, but when you get to the Webmin configuration it's best to already know a little about firewalls, or plan to really digest the documentation.
