Install Astaro without bootable CD-ROM?

Greetings all,

As per the subject, is it possible to install the latest version of ASL without having a bootable CD-ROM? Is there a way to make a bootdisk as in the prior version? Thanks in advance!

Mister D,

the kernel becomes bigger and bigger and won't
fit on a floppy anymore.

It seems the one can no longer do without having bootable CD-Rom to install Astaro, I am having the same problem with the beta 3.050 version and the old 2.0 boot disk does work with it.

I have the same problem as Mr. D and I'm wondering if one can boot and install Vers. 2.x at first and than upgrade to Vers. 3.x.
Did anyone try ?

It's not possible to upgrade a 2.x installation to a beta 3.x.

The was talk from Astaro some time ago of this being possible when 3.x is released, but I think now all you can do is import into 3.x the config from a 2.x backup.
