Hello,
I've 2 problem that I can't solve which I hope someone may be able to help. My problem is:
1) I've installed ASL 2.0 on Dell PowerEdge 1550(Pentium III 1ghz with 1gb of ram) but ASL can only read/detect an 826mb of ram. Further checking during ASL boot time shows that ASL need can only read 826mb of ram:Need kernel with HIGHMEM.
2) The same machine is installed in an IDS environment with BGP router and VLAN.The IP address that was given to me is something like 1.2.3.x but the gateway is 1.2.1.1.
ISP router/gateway = 1.2.1.1
ASL external interface = 1.2.3.1
ASL internal interface = 192.168.0.1(LAN)
Now, i've configured my ASL until all IP from my LAN can ping/connect to ASL external interface(1.2.3.1)and vice versa but can't reach the ISP gateway which is 1.2.1.1 even from ASL external interface. If i use other linux distribution, I can always edit the network script in /etc/sysconfig/network/ and enable DEVICE=ethX in one of the script to solve this, but I can't find any files/script equivalent in ASL.
Please help me in solving this problem. Any idea is appreciated.
Thank you.
