Define the stategy of Ips for cards, gateway, pc users

Today when i want to specify an adresss ip to the second card i'v got the message (already exist in this range) this is my config :

Eth0 : 192.10.60.100
Eth1 : i want 192.10.60.101
Gateway (internet) : 192.10.60.254

I think i understand the reason, please confirm me that this should be the good configuration :

Gateway (external network ) : 192.168.2.1
Eth 1 : extrenal network : 192.168.2.2
Eth 0 : Internal network : 192.10.60.100

On the computer : default gateway 192.10.60.100

i want just to authoryze users to access to web and mail

    Take a look at the netmask you use on eth0 ! ;-)

    ......routing of ip-packets could only be done between "different" networks ! 

    Your eth0 has to be in the same network as your Gateway (Internet).
