Keep DSL connection

I saw that everytime you change the network configuration, system will restart the whole network(shutdown all interfaces?)including pppoe connection and other daemon like squid ..., but pppoe never been restarted.

Do you have good solution to keep(restart) the pppoe connection?

    Nobody have good idea?

    I only has a simple solution, I judge that after restart the network, ASL will restart daomen application like squid also , so I add a scripts into /sbin/init.d/squid so that it can check the the current connection status, and whether DSL should be restart or not.

    Is this rigth, any comments would be appreciate.

    Hi Denni,

     Special file had been provided to do this task, you have to create it in /sbin/init.d and call it ipfilter.local with rights 400 and owner root:root. Put in it scripts you want to be launch everytime you change packets filtering through webadmin.

    I don't think so. otherwise why ASL do not automatically execute DSL scritps also. 

    Since I heard that Astaro will release an webadmin support for DSL  at the end of March, 
    I only want to find a temporary solution that I can put into a script to check the DSL connection everytime after ASL restart the network devices,ip filter and network services.
