I have two machines that I have recently installed ASL 3.020 on, but I am having problems with the time and timezone changing.
The two machines specifications are as follows...
Pentium 100mhz, 64MB, 2.4GB IDE, IDE CD-Rom, 3x 3Com 3C900.
AMD K6 233mhz, 64MB, 4.2GB IDE, IDE CD-Rom, 3x Realtek 3189.
Once the machines are installed I set the timezone to Pacific - Auckland (New Zealand) and set the time settings correctly.
Everything seems fine until you restart the machine, and then the time shifts by 13 hours.
i.e. time before restart...
FRI JAN 18 18:30:04 NZDT 2002
...time after restart...
SAT JAN 19 07:31:34 NZDT 2002
I've tried setting the time in the bios, changing the timezone's and various other things, even reinstalling and reloading the configuration, but I still end up with strange times.
Once the time changes drastically I start getting SelfMonitoring emails from the ASL machine about various daemon's getting upset and restarting, but I would expect this sort of reaction.
Any advise would be gratefully accepted, even if it's just to point out my stupidity in overlooking something obvious.
Thanks,
Karl
