i am stuk in the bach-shell

i am stuk in the bach-shell

at the end of the install they ask me to type exit en then press enter.

it dont work i am still stuk in that bach-shell

Can you help me?????????

    I seem to be having this problem too.
    only I'm not even getting a install.
    I boot from the cd rom, get to the screen where it tells me what keys do what and hit ok.
    get the next screen and hit ok again.
    I get 5 to 7 error writing to disk ( tried 2 differnt HDD's so far and 2 Different CD rom drives and still get the same.)
    it then drops to the screen saying i'm in the shell. type exit and hit enter to continue the install. I do this. it echo's the enter command and just sits there.

    this system had an earlier version of ASL (.010 )on it till 2 days ago, when the drive crashed.
    so I know the system works with this software.

    I did try using the latest beta, and that installs ok but cant see one of my NIC cards.

    The lasst question is - is there anywhere I can get  a older version of the software as i think it's just this current ISO thats at fault.

    I am having same problem, install locks , right after entering all the passwords, I tried same cd on different system (both dells) and it installed o n second system.  The one system is Pentium IV , does astaro have issues with P IV's?

    Just started the install - exactly the same problem.  I downloaded and burned the image today - what about you guys??

    You can access the bash commands normally, but if there is a command to continue the install, i dont know it - Astaro guys......help

    SOLUTION :

    I had the same problem picking up the "English keyboard" i guess that's a bug.

    Try picking up any other language : I prefer the german one because only Y and Z are switched.

    This is my temp fix!
    It worked for me  [:)]

    Found answer on another sections:
    use passwords that use only a-z, 1-9
    Seemed to fix my install..
    but now my passowrds are not as secure  [:)]

    I have same problem i havent figured that one out 
    Yet. Tryed 2 different hd today a 1.7 Gb and a 2.1 Gb i can see somthing "ext2" and "failed" then the blue install screen came back with an error in the root and out in bash i tryed to repartition the hd in linux (with fdisk from hda i guess)it makes 9 partitions is that normaly ??

    I had the same problem. I was getting errors durring file copy process, relating to the drive having bad sectors. I thought ASL was moving files to good sectors on the disk but it was not.

    The partition and everything worked fine until I entered my password. I had to get another hard drive to install on.

    i tryed to remove my hd from my rhino5 p133 32 mb ram to a p3 966 with 256 mb ram no problems i just went smooth
    i have been into the bios of my rhino5 and disable hd block no go
    Any one have a rhino5 pc and have maked the install on it ??
