can't ping the router

Hi all

Since a few days I'm trying to set up asl. I have two nics, an adsl router (IP address 10.r.s.1) connected to the eth1 (my extern interface with an extern IP address 212.117.x.x, subnet .248) and my LAN (IP range 10.r.s.1 to 10.r.s.255)connected to eth0 (IP address 10.r.s.5, subnet .0). Now the problem is, that I can't ping the router from a LAN Host. I receive responses from the two nics, I can use the asl GUI, from an internal host, but the way out is closed.

If somebody could help me please do.

To ping after ASL box you must abilitate ICMP on
firewall and ICMP on forw.

Urs,

if it is possible to ping firewall's external interface
the problem is on your router.
Configure a static route in your ADSL router
for your internal network pointing to firewall's
external address.

Should work ;-)
