3 NICs 2 external IP addresses...HELP!

Hi Andre,

I personaly prefer the NAT solution - that is put both valid IP addresses on your external eth using an alias. Later configure SNAT/DNAT so as to send packets to correct destination. This way you can also use the third eth as your DMZ and mantain all your server there.

    I kind of understand what you're saying but I'm having trouble getting this all to come together in my firewall configuration. I have aliased my external inteface with the the second external IP address I have. I have gone as far as to create DNAT/SNAT rules for the firewall but I still can't get to the webserver. Cab you assist further?

    I have a ASL firewall and I need some assistance configuring for this scenerio: I have 2 external IP addresses IP #1 - currently used to for office web,email, and other services for my internal servers. IP #2 I would like to use for a webserver on the third NIC in my box.
    Ex: eth0 - External IP #1
        eth1 - Internal NAT'd network (192.168.10.1)
        eth2 - want to use for External IP #2 (currently addressed 10.0.0.1).
    How do I go about getting IP #2 up and working on eth2? Should I leave eth2 addressed 10.0.0.1 and alias the eth2 to external IP #2 or can I just give eth2 IP #2 and create a route to eth0?I have read a number of the posts on the forums pages but I can't seem to find the right configuration help. Please include as much detail as possible or contact me at ahall@pcgameauthority.com. Thanks in advance for your help.

    After a couple minutes of charting it out on paper I think I've got the results I was hoping for. We'll see. Thanks for the help.
