4 Port Nic

Have a four port Znyx NIC that is detected and loads under a dec driver. Unfortunately, when the machine reboots, I cannot get to the web interface. ifconfig shows both transmit and recieve errors.

The Zynx web site points to a "tulip" driver for this card, but I don't know how to add new drivers for Astaro. (Does insmod even exist?)

Any pointers on dealing with this card?

You could try to edit /etc/modules.conf

Change all lines like

alias ethX

to

alias ethX

(ethX means eth0, eth1, etc)

than reboot the machine

But how do I get this tulip driver?
The web site seems to assume that it should be everywhere? Is it already there and I am missing it? The only tulip I'm aware of is an old Calvinist thing.

Nevermind.
Found a thread that suggested aliasing to de45x. That failed. Looked in modules and found a dec4x5.0 and that worked perfectly

eth0 alias dec4x5
eth1 alias dec4x5
eth2 alias dec4x5
eth3 alias dec4x5

in /etc/modules.conf
