No pid for squid - restarting squid and other errors.

I just installed astaro a few days ago.  So far I have my LAN behind it, but the DMZ is still under another firewall.

I keep getting this error sent by email:

Subject: SelfMonitoring: No pid for squid - restarting(2 times)
From: notify@firewall.workingdemo.com

No pid for squid - restarting squid

Astaro Security Linux  2.016

Is this something to worry about?  Could it be a symptom of other problems?

Hi,

please check squid logs (/var/chroot-squid/logs/). THere you could find the whole squid history.

BTW, the "Proxy services" may be a better place for such questions [:)]

Hi! I've the same problem, but my logfiles are empty / there're no logfiles...
I've installed the dhcp-client on eth1 for my cable modem. Masquerading/Nat and the DNS-Proxy works...
