No the D-Link DFE-570 NIC doesn't work. The card is detecte at installation, but when you bootup the machine, it's not found and the boot hangs.
Tried today with v. 2.016.

i hope 3.0 will allow the d-link 4 port cards work. i have several i was going to use. the developers need to add V-lan tagging support to.

and get the card working ...

this hack works also on other (1-4 port) cards that use the tulip driver

My D-Link 570TX runs with the DEC driver, de4x5.o . (I noticed errors and drops with
the tulip driver)

To install it shut down the interfaces, remove module tulip "rmmod tulip", innsmod the new
one "insmod de4x5" and and no shutdown (in ciscos
words) the interfaces again. To make the changes
persistant edit /etc/modules.conf.
